About
Matt Duff is a licensed private investigator and investigative storyteller whose work bridges real-world casework and long-form investigative media. With a background in journalism and television production, he approaches unsolved cases the same way he approaches the field — methodically, evidence-driven, and with accountability as the goal.
He is the creator and host of TIPLINE, a weekly interview series that brings families, witnesses, experts, and investigators together to examine unsolved cases in real time. Matt also produces and hosts Who Killed Beth-Ellen?, an ongoing investigation into the 1994 unsolved murder of Beth-Ellen Vinson, and Cousins By Blood, a long-form re-examination of a controversial conviction.
This isn’t true crime as entertainment — this is an investigation in public.
